"The sea does not speak in sentences but in verses" (Jack Kerouac).
Sardinia is surrounded by a sea that inspires poetry. The emerald colour dominates everywhere, the best for a sailing holiday. You can choose to rent a boat, a catamaran or sail in a flotilla with Mondovela and visit with us the most beautiful and coveted sailing areas of the island. We have selected itineraries with different characteristics, but equally worthy of an unforgettable cruise. In the middle of the western Mediterranean - where Corsica and Sardinia chase each other in one of the most seductive stretches of sea in the world - the Archipelago of LaMaddalena, a National Park since 1996, emerges in all its beauty. It is one of the cult destinations for every sailor, excellent for a holiday in charter or with individual boarding. There are seven major islands (Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria and Razzoli), numerous islets and minor rocks. Most of them are uninhabited and covered by Mediterraneanmaquis, and are characterized by a myriad of inlets and beaches with very fine sand, bathed by transparent waters. Formations of granite rocks sculpted by the wind, contribute to create an almost unreal scenery. Among the many places to see there is Cala Corsara in Spargi, the famous Rosa di Budellibeach and the MantodellaMadonna, the shallow seabed at the junction of Budelli with Santa Maria and Razzoli. A pilgrimage to Garibaldi's house in Caprera for a tribute to the sailor hero, prepares the crossing to Bonifacio, with its impressive fjord and traditional houses, symbol of southern Corsica. Lots of sailing and lots of beauty on the island of San Pietro, with nearby Sant'Antioco, located in the south-western part of Sardinia. In the town of Carloforte, in San Pietro and Calasetta in Sant'Antioco, you will be surprised by a very different language from that of the Sardinians. In fact here is widespread the tabarkino, an ancient variant of the Genoese language created by the Ligurian settlers in Tabarka in Tunisia, who later moved to the two islands. Many beaches to enjoy while sailing and tasting an amazing typical cuisine. In Sant' Antioco there are many seafaring traditions and precious handicrafts, such as the weaving of byssus. The departures with single boarding or with rental in general are from Cagliari. The capital of Sardinia is a city full of history, whose traces date back to the Neolithic period, and deserves to be visited both for its monuments and for the wonderful views of the historical centre. The stretch of south west coast is pure spectacle: majestic coasts and inviting coves, all in the nature.
